Yusei Kikuchi
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Mid-rotation starter capable of 3.50-3.80 ERA range if mechanical consistency and fastball-slider approach maintained. Advanced age 34 limits realistic ceiling but recent organizational adjustments and documented durability suggest continued competitive production within contract framework. Success contingent on avoiding return to earlier career inconsistency patterns and maintaining disciplined pitch mix. Function as reliable innings eater rather than true ace-level performer. Three-year contract represents calculated organizational bet that late-career adjustments will sustain.
