Scouting summary

Edmundo Sosa projects as a reliable major league utility infielder and backup at multiple positions. His defensive versatility and solid glove work ensure continued major league employment in a reserve role. However, his offensive limitations prevent him from developing into an everyday player or impactful contributor. Most likely career trajectory involves continued bench role with occasional starts against left-handed pitchers where he demonstrates superior offensive splits. At age 29 with over 1,200 career plate appearances, his skill set is largely defined. He represents good organizational depth and flexibility but not a core contributor to a contending team's success.
