Raisel Iglesias
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Veteran closer at end of productive career. Still capable of solid MLB performance in complementary relief role or high-leverage setup situations, but primary closer role increasingly questionable given velocity decline and slider deterioration. Best deployed with modified pitch mix emphasizing fastball and changeup while de-emphasizing problematic slider. Realistic timeline of 1-2 remaining productive seasons at current performance level before significant decline. Appropriate for short-term contracts and non-ninth-inning utilization.
