Tirso Ornelas
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his age and lengthy minor league track record, Ornelas now profiles as a near-finished product whose value will hinge on how much of his upper-minors performance carries to MLB. The likely outcome is a bat-first corner outfielder who can shuttle between Triple-A and the big leagues, providing depth when injuries or matchups demand a left-handed stick. If his contact and on-base skills translate more fully than expected, he could grow into a second-division regular who hits for average with modest power, but the offensive bar in left field is high. The floor is a Quad-A type who posts solid minor league numbers without securing a long-term major league role, making continued adjustments against big league velocity and spin critical.
