Denzer Guzman
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his age, steady track record of development, and balanced tool set, he projects most realistically as a second-division regular or strong multi-positional utility infielder who can handle shortstop when needed. If the hit tool stabilizes at the upper end of his range with continued average power, there is an outside path to a lower-end everyday shortstop role. More likely, he fills a valuable role getting 350–500 plate appearances a year while moving around the infield and providing league-average-ish offense. Continued improvements in swing decisions and defensive consistency will determine whether he lands closer to everyday or utility outcomes.
