Samuel Zavala
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Zavala’s best path is as a patient, versatile outfielder whose on-base ability and reliable reads keep him in consideration for a reserve role. His age and continued Double-A experience leave some room for strength and offensive refinement, and the 2026 increase in home runs is a useful sign, but the modest slugging and contact inconsistency temper the ceiling. If he shortens the swing against velocity and becomes more willing to attack strikes early, he could develop into a useful fourth outfielder with occasional corner starts. If the hit tool remains below average, his limited game power makes sustained regular work difficult; left field is the conservative projection if center-field range does not hold.
