Alimber Santa
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given the relief-only track record, shorter frame, and reliance on breaking stuff, he projects as a middle-innings to low-leverage bullpen arm who shuttles between Triple-A and the majors. The carrying traits are his hard fastball and bat-missing slider/sweeper combination, which can play against righties when he’s ahead in the count. Below-average strike throwing and some effort in the delivery cap his ceiling; without a more reliable changeup or improved fastball command, high-leverage roles are unlikely. With incremental gains in control and continued emphasis on his best breaker, he could settle into a useful middle reliever who logs 50–60 innings when healthy. The floor, given command variance, is a depth arm who spends most seasons as an up-down option and organizational bullpen piece.
