Aidan Curry
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his age-relative performance, strikeout rates, and non-elite but playable arsenal, Curry most realistically projects as a middle-innings or bulk reliever who can shuttle between Triple-A and the majors. Continued improvement in fastball command and better incorporation of the changeup could push him toward a lower-end rotation role, but that would require multiple gains. The likeliest path is leveraging his fastball-slider combo in shorter stints, where effort and command variability are less exposed and the miss-bat qualities are maximized. His floor is an organizational arm who eats innings, with a realistic outcome of an up-down reliever if command and pitch mix continue to tick forward without major setbacks.
