Allen Facundo
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Facundo is a velocity-driven left-handed prospect whose development has been significantly hampered by injuries. His fastball-slider combination projects adequately for bullpen use, with stuff that could play in major league relief setting. The critical question is whether he can improve command and develop a serviceable third pitch to remain a starter, or whether he ultimately settles as a reliever due to arsenal limitations and control issues. With roughly 148 professional innings across five years due to injuries, projection remains highly speculative. If healthy and command improves, backend starter outcome is possible. More likely outcome is mid-to-late inning reliever role.
