Jaison Chourio
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Chourio projects as a speed-and-defense oriented center fielder with a chance to be a second-division regular if the bat continues to progress. His carrying traits are on-base skills, athleticism and range, which can support a lower-power profile if he reaches average contact outcomes at the highest level. The path likely involves further refinement of his swing from both sides, incremental strength gains to convert gap contact into more extra-base hits, and maintaining his defensive value in center. The floor is closer to a bench or up-down outfielder if the power never materializes and big-league arms expose more swing-and-miss. With moderate projection remaining and strong underlying athletic traits, a realistic outcome is a defense-first CF who contributes value through OBP, speed and versatility rather than impact slugging.
