Mairo Martinus
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Projects as a versatile, athletic defender who can cover shortstop, second, and some outfield, offering roster flexibility. Offensively, he profiles as a bottom-of-the-order bat with a chance to reach fringe-average overall production if the hit tool and plate discipline both make incremental gains. Speed and positional flexibility give him a path to a role even if the bat stalls short of average, likely in a bench or up-down capacity initially. If physical strength and swing decisions both trend positively, he could grow into a second-division everyday role at a lower-offensive-bar position such as shortstop or second.
