Brando Mayea

Scouting summary
Mayea still has a path to being a playable center field regular if the bat settles closer to its earlier promise, but the present evidence points to a player whose carrying tools are being held back by contact quality and timing consistency. The speed, arm strength, and athletic base give him a real defensive floor in the outfield, and there is still enough bat speed for a modest offensive rebound if he sharpens his approach against quality pitching. The downside case is a toolsy corner outfielder who gets to enough walks and speed to stay in a lineup only part-time. Given the strikeout trend and the need for more game contact, a conservative second-division projection is the safest call.
