Deward Tovar
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Tovar has established enough offensive production to merit continued evaluation, particularly after moving from complex-level ball into a full-season role and producing middle-of-the-order power. The likely developmental path is to preserve the damage while improving swing decisions, contact against quality breaking balls, and corner-outfield reliability. His ceiling is a second-division left-field bat if the 2026 power proves transferable and the strikeouts settle; the safer floor is a corner-organizational hitter who reaches the upper minors but lacks enough on-base or defensive value for a sustained major-league role. With limited verified tool information, this is a projection based more on statistical shape and age than on a complete scouting record.
