Kelvis Salcedo
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Salcedo’s mid-to-upper-90s fastball, quality slider and developing mid-80s splitter give him a foundation to reach the majors, with the best version of the arsenal playing in short bursts. His present strike throwing and stamina leave a starting possibility open, but the effortful, stiff delivery creates meaningful risk to command and durability as innings increase. A bullpen conversion could let the fastball and breaking ball play up and simplify his sequencing; conservatively, he projects as a potential up-and-down reliever rather than a dependable rotation piece.
