Sandro Santana
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Santana’s fastball and sweeping slider give him a plausible path to a major-league bullpen, with the slider providing the standout weapon and the fastball’s velocity supporting it. His relief-only background, limited physical bulk, and modest sample of innings argue against projecting a starting role or assuming established late-inning command. If he maintains the fastball’s velocity, consistently lands enough strikes, and keeps the slider’s sweep, he could develop into a useful setup option; inconsistent location or reduced effectiveness against right-handed hitters would lower the ceiling toward middle relief.
