Stiven Martinez
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Martinez looks like a developmental corner outfielder whose path to the majors depends on the hit tool getting to fringe-average and the game power becoming more usable in games. The age-to-level context keeps him in the conversation, but the combination of swing-and-miss and modest offensive results means the floor remains fairly low if the contact gains do not come. His athleticism, arm strength, and age create enough projection to keep hope alive for a regular role, yet the most realistic outcome right now is a player who moves between the majors and Triple-A unless the approach and contact quality take a clear step. The ceiling is a second-division regular if the body and bat both advance; the floor is an org bat if the strikeout issues persist.
