Handelfry Encarnacion
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Encarnacion presents an intriguing toolkit of tools but remains very much a prospect in development. His combination of quick bat speed, strong contact abilities, plus speed, and solid athleticism suggests potential as an everyday outfielder, particularly if he can develop into the power his exit velocities suggest. However, the recent promotion to Low-A revealed challenges in adjusting to superior pitching, which must be resolved. If he can regain his Complex League form and successfully transition to Low-A competition, he could develop into a mid-tier prospect. The organization clearly values him as part of a premium signing class, but he will need to show consistent improvement across multiple levels to justify prospect status. At present, his carrying tool remains his bat speed and contact ability, with speed as a secondary asset.
