Dauri Fernández
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Dauri Fernandez projects as a potential above-average major league hitter based on elite-level contact skills and exceptional plate discipline. His small stature and below-average power metrics create developmental uncertainty, but his young age (18) and rapid ascent through minor league system suggest legitimate professional potential. Most likely outcome involves him developing into a contact-oriented middle infielder with modest power output, potentially capable of .270+ batting average with 12-15 home run power at peak production. His versatility and youth provide multiple pathways for development. Critical developmental milestone will be whether he can maintain elite contact and discipline against advanced velocity while adding sufficient strength to impact power trajectory. Currently trending as legitimate prospect despite physical constraints.
