Edward Florentino
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Florentino has a realistic path to the majors through a power-first left-field role, with the 2025 and 2026 home-run production providing evidence that the raw strength is playing in games against professional pitching. The primary development question is whether the hit tool can settle near average as pitchers attack his length and breaking-ball vulnerability; a .228 average with 115 strikeouts in 2026 keeps that concern central despite 65 walks. His defensive value is likely limited to a corner, so the offensive bar is substantial. The conservative outcome is a second-division or platoon-oriented left fielder, while improved contact and continued power could support an everyday role.
