Payton Eeles

Scouting summary
Given his age, modest physicality, and limited power, Eeles projects most realistically as a high-contact, versatile infielder who shuttles between Triple-A and the majors. His path to value is built on on-base skills, contact rates, and steady defense at second with emergency coverage at other spots, not middle-of-the-order impact. If the bat translates enough for league-average OBP and he maintains solid defense, he could carve out a role as a bench or short-side platoon piece. The risk is that lack of impact contact and power leaves him in a Quad-A bucket if major-league arms challenge him in the zone and suppress his walk rates.
