Silvano Hechavarria
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given the physical frame, mid-90s fastball, and workable three-pitch mix, he projects as a potential back-end major league starter if command and health cooperate. The most realistic outcome is a number four or five type who relies on the fastball/slider combination while using the changeup just enough to turn over lineups. If strikes backslide or the knee issues linger, the stuff could still play in a multi-inning relief role, where his fastball might tick up and the slider could be leaned on more heavily. To reach his ceiling, he needs to tighten fastball location, sharpen the strike-zone feel with the changeup, and accumulate healthy innings to prove he can hold his stuff through a full workload.
