Scouting summary

Ángel Martínez projects as a utility bench player and left-handed specialist rather than everyday contributor at major league level. His elite arm strength and demonstrated infield credentials suggest potential for second base or right field deployment, though center field struggles may limit organizations' trust in premium defensive positions. His .121 wRC+ career mark against left-handed pitchers establishes clear left-handed specialist niche, similar to organizational deployment of platoon specialists. Current organizational depth at multiple positions limits playing time path without significant offensive development. Realistic MLB role involves part-time utility deployment with emphasis on left-handed matchup value and defensive flexibility through multi-position capability.
