Lan-Hong Su
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Su has a starter’s look on a projection basis, but the floor is still fairly wide because he is young, lightly built, and early in his pro career. The fastball/slider combination gives him a foundation to work with, and the athletic arm action hints at more velocity if the body fills out. The main path to an MLB rotation role is improved fastball consistency and a usable changeup that keeps left-handed hitters honest; without that, he could slide into a relief profile. For now, he looks like a developmental arm with real upside but a long runway before the command and physicality are ready for an impact role.
