Gregory Pio
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Pio has the ingredients of a center-field regular if the hit tool comes along enough to let the athleticism play every day. The speed, defensive mobility, and early offensive output give him a broader path than most teenagers in the DSL, but the bat still has to prove it can handle better stuff as he climbs. His ceiling is driven by impact speed and enough bat speed to produce gap-to-gap damage with some pull-side home run value, while the floor is a defense-first outfielder who needs the bat to get there. Given the present age, bonus level, and early performance, the most reasonable expectation is a development track toward an everyday regular with volatility along the way.
