Manuel Bolivar
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Given his age, bonus level, and position, Bolivar projects as a bat-first catcher with a realistic ceiling as a second-division regular if the defense holds and the bat translates against better arms. The path involves maintaining enough agility and receiving skill to stay behind the plate while allowing his physical strength to mature into solid game power. Offensively, he must prove he can manage strikeouts and adjust to velocity and spin, but early contact and OBP indicators are encouraging. Even if he falls short of full-time regular status, his combination of catcher's defensive skill set and offensive upside could still support a future bench or up-down role.
