Albert Fermín
Hitting scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Fermín has the look of a high-follow teenage infielder whose offensive foundation is more advanced than most players in the DSL, but the evaluation still has to be tempered by age and distance from the majors. If the hit tool and strike-zone feel hold as the competition improves, he could develop into an everyday shortstop candidate or, at minimum, a quality regular who supplies on-base ability and modest power. The floor is still wide because the defensive home and game power are not yet locked in, but the early combination of physicality, patience, and production gives him a better-than-average developmental base.
