Jacob Lombard

Scouting summary
Lombard has the athletic foundation and offensive upside to remain at shortstop while developing into an everyday player, with the potential for above-average power and plus running value. The clearest path is improved contact against professional velocity, better swing decisions in two-strike counts, and steady refinement of his internal clock and throwing consistency. His present arm grades as adequate rather than carrying, so the defensive profile depends on footwork, range, hands, and accuracy continuing to compensate. The floor is pressured by swing-and-miss and the uncertainty of a very small professional sample, but the combination of premium position, athleticism, speed, and power gives him a credible chance to become a quality regular.
