Dee Kennedy

Scouting summary
Kennedy’s fourth-round selection followed a major junior-year breakout at Kansas State, where improved vision after LASIK coincided with better contact and the ability to punish spin. The early professional results are poor, but 21 games are too few to conclude that the college gains have disappeared; his walk total is at least a modest positive amid the low average. His most plausible path is through improved contact consistency and dependable defense at second base, with enough versatility to cover other infield positions. A utility role is the conservative ceiling, while continued strikeout and contact problems could leave him short of a sustained major-league opportunity.
