Christian Walker

Scouting summary
Walker appears to be in significant decline at age 34 after elite 2022-2024 run. While mid-2025 improvement trajectory offers modest optimism he can stabilize, regression markers across multiple disciplines (bat speed, chase rate, hard contact, defensive metrics) suggest permanent skill loss rather than temporary slump. Best-case scenario projects return to 2024 levels with potential 105-115 wRC+ if he recaptures plate discipline and avoids further mechanical deterioration, though this seems unlikely given his age. More probable outcome is continued gradual decline toward 95-105 wRC+ territory with diminished defensive contributions. Contract value contingent on whether organization can extract consistent production or if 2025 represents establishment of new lower floor.
