Cody Bellinger

Scouting summary
Bellinger projects as reliable 4-5 year professional contributor capable of supporting competitive lineups through sustained contact production, elite defensive versatility, and specialized strength against left-handed pitching. Career trajectory suggests performance stabilization in current range rather than significant improvement toward 2019 MVP levels. Optimal utilization emphasizes consistent left-handed pitching assignment, left-field defensive positioning, and situational deployment in high-leverage plate appearances. Age progression toward early 30s and prior injury history suggest modest decline phases emerging in years 3-5 of forward projection, with risk of soft-tissue recurrence warranting monitoring. Represents complement piece rather than carry-lineup force for organizations valuing positional flexibility and professional consistency.
