Alex Cook
Pitching scouting report · 80Grade
Scouting summary
Cook projects as a depth reliever who can shuttle between Triple-A and the majors and provide competent innings when the fastball is on line. The ceiling is tied to whether the heater plays up enough in short bursts for him to keep hitters off the barrel; the floor is a middle-up relief arm who can dominate lesser competition but gets exposed when command is merely average. His path is straightforward: keep the walk rate manageable, miss enough bats with the primary fastball/secondary mix, and survive the inevitable regression that comes with a limited-margin bullpen profile.
